Obituary

William T. Walker age, 81, of Harleysville, PA passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 18, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Hummel) Walker with whom he shared over 61 years of marriage.

Born August 31, 1942, in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas A. and Elizabeth E. (Hunter) Walker of Boswell, PA. William "Bill" had a great way of connecting with others and enjoyed getting to know everyone which led him to a career in sales. Bill was an avid sports enthusiast. His favorite sports included football, baseball, hockey, basketball, golf and tennis. His favorite professional teams were from Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. His passion for sports started at a young age. He played basketball and football in high school and at Westminster College. He enjoyed attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events along with cheering on his family members and their teammates. Bill was a natural coach, always looking to help others improve. He loved spending time with his family as they were his passion and meant the world to him.

In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by his children Bob Walker of Harleysville, Debbie Byrne of Collegeville, Brenda Panner and her husband Steve of Harleysville, Jill Walker-Federico and her husband David of Gilbertsville; grandchildren Courtney (Byrne) Liacouras and her husband Scott, Caitlyn (Byrne) Stauffer and her husband AJ, Justin, Brandon and Ryan Panner; step- grandchildren Brianna and Joshua Federico; great-granddaughter Rilynne Liacouras; and grand dogs Leo and Luna.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.  He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Christina Faith Panner.

Funeral services for Bill will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home Inc. 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford where the family will greet guests from 10:00-10:45am.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill's name may be made to either Dementia Society of America by clicking here or you can donate blood in Bill's name at your local Red Cross.
