Obituary

William "Will" Frederick Strosahl, 74, passed away quietly on March 16, 2025 in Phoenixville, PA.

He was born on April 7, 1950 in Stamford, CT to William A. Strosahl and Rosemary R. Strosahl (nee Jordan).

William graduated from The Karafin School in Mt. Kisco, NY in 1969 and studied photography at Aims Community College in Greeley, Colorado. Will was an avid film enthusiast and photojournalist throughout his life, specializing in aerial videography. As an active member of the Cos Cob Revolver & Rifle Club in Greenwich, CT, he shared good times with friends at shooting competitions, winning various trophies and awards.

Will and Janet (Welch) married on Christmas Eve 2004 in Salem, CT and travelled on cruises to the Caribbean and the Mediterranean with family and friends. Will and Janet moved to Pennsylvania to enjoy holidays with family and grandchildren.

As with many of his baby boomer generation, Will experienced the music of the era, by becoming a self-taught electric guitarist and attending the extraordinary Woodstock Music and Art Festival in August 1969.

Will enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, collecting and flying drones where he could utilize his photography skills.  His preferred pastimes were fishing and enjoying nature with his beloved dogs Andy, Marty and Ollie.

Will is survived by his wife Janet; brother Tim Strosahl (Sue Strosahl); brother Jordan Strosahl (Mary Strosahl); sister Margaret Gianetti (Ken Gianetti); nieces and nephews Mark Strosahl (Kim Strosahl), Elizabeth Kapteina  (Mike Kapteina), Kate Domenico (Nick Domenico), Brittany Gianetti, Stephanie Strosahl, David Alexander; step-daughter Lynn Rosenstock (Brian Rosenstock) grandchildren Jacob and Sarah; step-daughter Leigh Olesen and her fiancée Mads Bertelsen. William is preceded in death by his older brother Brian H. Strosahl.

Will's family would like to express their great appreciation for the kind comfort and support given to him by the staff at Spring Mill in Phoenixville, PA and from Caring Hospice.
