William L. "Bill" Litosky, of Telford, previously Souderton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2024 after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer for over 6 years. He was 72 years old.
He was the loving and devoted husband of Nancy L. (Moyer) Litosky. They celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary this past May.
Born in Meshoppen, PA, he was the son of the late Efrem Litosky and the late Norma (Covey) Halteman. He was a 1970 graduate of Souderton Area High School.
Bill was employed with Bergey's, Inc. for 51+ years, starting as a mechanic and retiring as the Director of Service Operations for Bergey's Truck Centers. He loved his job and his work ethic could not be matched. He also worked for Guy Heavener Inc. He had cherished relationships with many in the community as a result of working in the local service industry for so many years. As children, his daughters used to comment that "Dad always knows somebody" when they were out.
He was a member of Grace Bible Church in Souderton, PA. He served as an usher and had many close relationships with his community there. His faith was an integral part of who he was and how he lived his life.
Bill spent his younger years playing in fastpitch softball and church basketball leagues. After having a family he transitioned that time to coaching his daughter's softball teams for both school and travel ball. He was extremely dedicated. Outside of his professional and coaching roles he enjoyed landscaping and home projects with his wife. It was something they loved doing together. His yard was impeccably kept and he spent many hours creating a beautiful space for his family. He was incredibly handy. If there was something he didn't know how to do he would figure it out, a true jack of all trades.
More than anything, Bill loved his family. His greatest joy in life was time spent with his wife, two daughters, and four grandchildren. His favorite week of the year was taking the whole family to Ocean City, NJ for summer vacation together for the past 16 years. He was the best Pop anyone could ask for and loved taking his grandchildren out for breakfast, ice cream, or just a spin in his beloved corvette.
Surviving with his wife are his daughters, Laura Musselman and her husband Matthew, of Souderton, PA, and Allison Cassel and her husband Bradley, of Telford, PA; as well as his grandchildren Liam, Gray, Lydia, and Griffin. He is also survived by his sister Linda Burke and her husband Michael, of Bloomington, Indiana and his stepsister Ruth Ann Halteman of Florida. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Darla Hendricks, Barbara Keller, Jean Kerschner, and his brother Arlan Halteman.
His celebration of life service will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, September 28 at Grace Bible Church, 423 N. Main St., Souderton, PA 18964, where the family will receive friends from 10-11:45 AM. Interment will be private at Franconia Mennonite Church Cemetery.
