Obituary

William "Bill" Eyre Gadd, age 87, of Telford, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Sarabeth (Linden) Gadd, with whom he shared over 51 years of marriage.

Born December 23, 1936, in Glenolden, he was a son of the late Charles and Helen (Cudney) Gadd.

Bill was proud to be a descendent of Colonel Jehu Eyre, who served as an advisor to General George Washington during the Revolutionary War. Bill himself achieved the rank of Sergeant in the 28 th Infantry Division of the Army National Guard of Pennsylvania, the nation's oldest continuously- serving division, and was awarded the Pennsylvania Service Ribbon for service within the Commonwealth during the flood emergency of 1955.

In 1956, Bill was part of the first class to graduate from North Penn High School, and he earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Delaware Valley University in 1974. His career at Merck Sharp and Dohme (West Point, PA) spanned 37 years, and he served as the CEO of Merck Sharp and Dohme Federal Credit Union prior to his retirement.

Bill enjoyed a variety of hobbies throughout his life, including golf (regular and mini), stamp collecting, building dollhouses, creating model train
layouts, and boating. He was an inveterate "do-it-yourself"-er and loved to tinker in his "workshop" on various household projects over the years. Bill took particular pride in meticulously restoring and showing off his 1967 Mustang convertible. Throughout his life, he remained a devoted fan of
Philadelphia sports and was thrilled to watch the Eagles win the Super Bowl in 2018. Bill enjoyed many happy family vacations on Long Beach Island, NJ, in Williamsburg, VA, and at Walt Disney World, Florida.

In addition to his wife Sarabeth, he is survived by his loving daughters Sharon Grim, Stephanie Sienkiewicz (Mark), and Christianne Gadd (Lorrie); grandchildren Evan and Haley Sienkiewicz and Timothy Grim; brother Charles Gadd (Annie) and his family; sisters-in-law Dianne Linden, Louise Linden, Jeanne Linden-Fox (Richard), and Janet Hinkle (Robert); brother-in- law James Linden (Diane), and their families. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Bill was preceded in death by his siblings Anne Watson, Helen Reynolds, and Donald Gadd.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, 445 N. Main Street,
