Obituary

William James Clark, Jr., age 85, passed away on Friday June 5, 2026. He was the husband of Patricia Dawn (Groff) Clark, with whom he shared over 66 years of marriage.

Born July 29, 1940, in West Chester, he was a son of the late William James Sr. and Dorothy (Danenhower) Clark.

On June 5th, surrounded by family, we said goodbye to William Clark, whose life was filled with love, hard work, and adventure. After spending years as snowbirds in Florida, he returned to Harleysville, Pennsylvania, with his wife Patricia.

William was the proud owner and operator of Clark Artistic Iron in Tylersport, Pennsylvania, a business he built and operated for nearly three decades. He took great pride in his work, his reputation, and the relationships he built throughout the community.

There was no one more passionate about spending time with family than William. He treasured every moment and always lit up when surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His family was his greatest accomplishment and his greatest source of joy. His dog Sadie brought William a great deal of Joy and he cherished his companionship with Sadie.

An outdoorsman at heart, William loved hunting, camping, and fishing. He was also deeply passionate about auto racing and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies fan, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. He was happiest sitting around a campfire, cigar in hand, sharing stories and laughter at Cindy's cabin, Cherie's home, or Craig's home with the people he loved most.

William's smile lives on in every memory shared by those fortunate enough to know him. His warmth, humor, wisdom, and unwavering love for family will never be forgotten. While he will be deeply missed, the legacy he leaves behind will continue to inspire his family and friends for generations to come.

In addition to his wife Patricia, William is survived by his children Cynthia Lee Alderfer and her husband Jamie, Craig James Clark and his wife Rosalind, Cherie Dawn Passarella and her husband Joseph; grandchildren Tiffany Alderfer, Denis Passarella and his wife Jackie, Clint Passarella and his wife Autumn, Josh Harwanko and his wife Haley, Alexa Grubb and her husband Tyler, Kirsten Clark and her fiancé Brandon Porter, Zachary Harwanko and his girlfriend Marissa Rubino; great grandchildren P.J. Clark, Russell Harwanko, Rylan Grubb, Harrison Harwanko, Lilliana Alderfer, Sophia Clark and brother Earl Clark and his wife Doris. He was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph Clark and Richard Clark.
