Westley Scott Sickler, age 37, of Souderton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 30, 2026. He was the beloved fiancé of Jessica Fay. He was surrounded by family and Jessica when he passed at St. Luke’s Grandview Hospital.

Born May 21, 1989, in East Stroudsburg, PA, he was the son of Scott and Jamie-Jo (Anthony) Sickler, formerly of Westfield, PA.

Westley dedicated his life to music and to Jessica Fay, to whom he committed his heart for 21 years. Westley attended Stroudsburg Area School District when he was young. He taught himself to play the piano at age 5 and was performing at local jazz clubs in the Stroudsburg area by age 7. Wes was blessed with an incredible ear for music, which allowed him to listen to, absorb, and recreate everything he heard. He studied piano with a renowned local jazz pianist in the Stroudsburg area for a number of years. Wes became a musical prodigy at a young age and blessed the homes of many with his living room concerts. He picked up the guitar before he was 10 and never put it down. Westley was an accomplished pianist, guitar player, and vocalist. He could also play the bass and drums. His family moved to Tioga County, PA in 2002. Wes graduated from Cowanesque Valley High School in 2007 after he met the love of his life, Jessica Fay. While in high school, Wes had the blessing of collaborating musically with several classmates. As a junior, he and a talented friend performed at many establishments throughout PA and NY, as the duo group Audio Therapy. Wes and older high school musicians created the heavy metal band Aversion. Wes took great pride in performing with his dear friends at local clubs in NY and PA, playing mostly original music composed by himself and his bandmates. Busloads of fans traveled to NYC to support Aversion as they competed in Battle of the Bands competitions, while all band members were still high school students. Practicing with his bandmates at the “Schoolhouse” for hours upon hours on nights and weekends, and performing in NYC, were highlights of Westley’s high school experience.

Following high school, Wes attended Pennsylvania College of Technology for 1 year, where he studied General Contracting and Building Construction. Jessica attended Penn Tech as well. Wes then moved to FL, where he attended Full Sail University to study Show Production and Touring. Jess also moved to FL to attend school. In 2011, Wes graduated from Full Sail with two bachelor’s degrees. After graduation, Wes and Jess returned home and settled in Painted Post, NY, where they raised their 3 cats and were close to family and friends.

Wes performed, recorded, and composed with many established and upcoming bands in PA and NY including Candlelight Red, Joe and Wes Acoustic, and Ember’s Fall. He greatly valued collaborations with other musicians and had the opportunity to contribute to various projects including vocals for Design The Void, vocals for The Scheme Addict, piano for The Jeremy Edge Project, vocals/guitar and video production for Return to Flame, and guitar/writing for Atropus. Wes began writing and composing music at a young age, and, with the assistance of an exceptional team of professional producers and artists, created several original music videos. Wes spent thousands of hours with the help of his beloved and talented musical community, molding his vision fueled by a passion that was constantly pulsing within him. Wes developed a reputation as a world-class musician with a heart of gold. A main driving force in Wes was supporting musicians and artists by encouraging their spirit and talents while respecting the sacrifices they made. He had a large fanbase with over 5,000 followers on Facebook with whom Wes felt an obligation to share his vision.

In addition to being a musician and performer, Westley worked as a residential contractor and was an accomplished electrician. He was a limited partner of Craftwell Builders LLC with his father as well as his best friend. The company established a reputation for high-quality work, focusing on exceptional craftsmanship with an added personal touch.

Clients in the Southern Tier of NY and Tioga County, PA continued their relationships with Wes’s company long after the contracted jobs were complete.

Outside of music, Westley enjoyed skiing, playing laser tag with his nieces, family gatherings, playing Xbox, grilling for his Jess, and hanging with friends. He was a fan of fantasy sci-fi TV shows and kept current with national and world issues via his favorite podcasts. Wes was a walking encyclopedia. His brain was full of knowledge, and if you had a question, Wes knew the answer. He had a strong faith in Jesus and was recently baptized.

Wes had a contagious spirit. His empathic heart drew him close to people who needed friendship, protection, and care. He will be missed, and loved ones will struggle to fill the place where Westley once filled their hearts.

In addition to his parents and fiancée, Westley is survived by: his sisters Brayden Cressman and her husband David, and Kylie Makoyawo and her husband Chris; nieces Adison Cressman, Cecily Cressman and Layla Makoyawo; nephews Edmond Cressman and Christopher Makoyawo III. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life to honor Wes will be held at a later date in 2027.

Westley felt driven to expose the world to his personal challenges, and with the help of incredible producers, created the Sickmind project. Through his remarkable gift, Wes was ready to let the world see “him.” This was his dream.
