Obituary

Our big-hearted Tyler is now experiencing joy and peace everlasting with Jesus, whose teachings he sacrificially tried to live out.

In Tyler's short life, he befriended and cared about many hurting people with his kindness and his desire to bring justice to the suffering he witnessed. His adventurous spirit took him all over the world and he loved the people he met through his journeys.

Tyler was not afraid to challenge the norm, he lived simply and was not tied to earthly possessions. He always lent a helping hand. He took the time to be aware of humanitarian needs around the globe and carried those burdens deeply.

He was a loyal friend, gentleman, and a catalyst for improving any gathering with his witty humor, fun-loving spirit and the ability to get the people around him to be a bit more daring, but perhaps not to the level of Tyler's famous back flips and motorcycle riding.

Tyler lent his guitar playing gifts on worship teams, gave his energy and all out effort to any athletic endeavor, was a team player on the volleyball court or lacrosse field, and wowed us on his wakeboard, surfboard, and snowboard while also patiently helping anyone learn.

He felt most at home out in nature and many got the privilege to join him camping, hiking, enjoying creation and talking around the campfire. A wilderness guide at heart.

Tyler's work included being a guide, mechanic and support person for Myanmar Adventure Outfitters which was a non-profit company that showed God's love by investing in the local communities of the Shan State of Myanmar. His love for the people of Myanmar led him to continued efforts to ease their suffering during the current war crisis there.

Other jobs included Barnside Farm and Hoover Steel Inc. during summers, working with children at a pediatric behavioral health facility Mount Saint Vincent in Denver, CO and as a moving truck driver where he reached out in friendship to many coworkers.

Those who will continue to treasure him through memories are his parents Kevin and Rita Hoover, brother Travis Hoover, sister Kaitlyn Freed and her husband Nathaniel, his nephews Rowan and Ashton, his girlfriend Cora Wakeman of Denver, CO, and a whole host of extended family and friends that he loved deeply!

Tyler was so, so loved and we will forever miss his adventurous, kind spirit!

All are welcome to honor his life at Spruce Lake Retreat, where Tyler served as a camp counselor and expedition guide.
