Theodore R. Fernes, 83, of Harleysville, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.  He was the husband of Teresa M. Fernes.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Raymond and Claire Fernes.  Ted was a graduate of Northeast High School.  He served in the United States Air Force for four years.

Ted worked as an aircraft technician, doing aircraft maintenance and aircraft inspections for the FAA at Northeast Philadelphia Airport and Philadelphia International Airport.

He enjoyed golfing, motorcycling, playing cards especially Pinochle and Hand and Foot, fishing and bicycling.

Ted was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Susan E. Taylor; a son, Theodore Fernes, Jr.; two sisters, Georgianna Dickson (Bill) and Darlene Lieb (John), as well as extended family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, November 2nd at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Rd., Hatfield 19440, where a viewing will be held from 9:30-10:45 AM.  Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , Wounded Warrior Project or the Montgomery County ASPCA
