Steven C. Horine, 76, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 1, 2024.  He was the husband of Connie Horine with whom he shared nearly 40 years of marriage.

Born in Bloomington, IL, he was the son of the late Cleve and Eleanor Horine.

After earning a Bachelor's degree in physics, Steve was employed for several years in his father's painting business in the Bloomington, IL area. As the Lord led in his life, he began studies at Calvary Baptist Seminary (Lansdale, PA) and eventually received a doctoral degree from Westminster Theological Seminary (Glenside, PA). He served for 16 years as a professor in the areas of Old Testament and Biblical language studies at Calvary Baptist Seminary. He greatly treasured this opportunity to serve His Lord and Savior.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Hannah Horine, Timothy Horine (Maria), and Joshua Horine (Courtney), grandchildren: Ava, Willow, Sawyer, and Ellie, and his siblings: Dan Horine (Linda), David Horine, Priscilla Riecks (Steve), Linda Armstrong (Max), Mark Horine (Janet), and Joe Horine (Candy).

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 10, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1380 S. Valley Forge Rd, Lansdale, PA 19446, where the family will receive friends from 10 AM.
