Obituary

Stephen B. Wilcher, 67, of Harleysville, PA, passed away Wednesday evening, December 22, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital with his family by his side. He and his wife, Marilyn Sue (Gust) Wilcher, celebrated their 47 th wedding anniversary on June 8 th of this year.

Born April 4, 1954, in Sayre, PA, he was a son of Carol (Bridgman) Wilcher of Granger, IN, and the late Charles "Chuck" Wilcher. He was a graduate of John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, IL and earned his bachelor's degree from Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA.

A mechanical engineer in the water treatment industry, Mr. Wilcher was the founder and owner of WSG & Solutions of Montgomeryville, PA.  He started the company in 2008 after 30 years in the industry with FMC and Siemens, creating his own very successful company that will live on, hopefully forever.  That was his wish.

He was a proud and loving husband, father and grandfather, and devoted his life to both his family and his business. He was the biggest fan of both his children and his grandchildren as they competed in their sports and activities.  He tried very hard to never miss a game or competition and you could always hear him cheering them on or coaching them from the sideline. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed playing golf every Saturday, as well as with Sue, and his son and son-in-law.  In prior years, he played with his father and brothers.

Along with his wife and mother, he is survived by three children, Stephanie Croak and her husband, Michael, and their children, Hailey and Peyton, of Towamencin, PA; Stephen Wilcher and his wife, Ginny, and their children, Colin and Morgan, of Limerick, PA; and Stacey Helou and her husband, Joe, and their children, Cadence and Alina, of Taneytown, MD.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Greg.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Friday, January 7, 2022, from 10am-12pm, at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA.  The family will receive relatives and friends from 10-10:45am, followed by a memorial service and celebration of life from 11am-12pm.  Steve preferred to celebrate life, memories, and accomplishments, so the family will take some time to share their memories of Steve, and would like for those interested and willing, to have the opportunity to speak.  If anyone would rather leave a written note for the family, there will be a collection box provided. Interment will be private. For those desiring, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org , or to the JDRF at https://www.jdrf.org . Online condolences may be made to the family at www.WilliamsBergeyKoffel.com .
