Stanley P. Dietterich, age 92, of North Wales, PA and Hatfield, PA, died Saturday, January 29, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Dea Dietterich.
He spent his childhood in North Wales, PA and was the son of the late Walter and Mabel Dietterich. He spent three years in the Marine Corps from 1946 to 1949, serving in China and Guam.
In 1955, he and his wife moved to Hatfield, PA, where they raised their family. He was very active in the Hatfield area Little League when his sons were young, going from coach to manager to umpire-in-chief to vice president to president of the little league.
He was employed by Haines & Kibblehouse for 20 years, retiring in 1991.
He will be remembered for his vegetable garden when he lived in Hatfield, which he enjoyed sharing with his friends and neighbors. Also, for his deep devotion to the Notre Dame football team, attending many of their games.
He and his wife were members of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church and were members of the hospitality Committee and were greeters at the 9:30 AM Mass.
He is survived by his four children, Michael and his wife Carole, Christopher and his wife Cindy, Mark, and Mary-Beth Beck and her husband Robert: 8 grandchildren, Kit, Randa, Matthew, Drew and Casey Dietterich, Victoria, Taylor and Lindsay Beck and 7 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 4, 2022, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, PA 19440, where the family will greet guests from 9:00 – 9: 45 AM. Interment will take pace in Hatfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Stanley's name may be made to either Grand View Home Care, 4 Life Mark Drive, Sellersville, PA 18960 or Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, PA 18960 or Family Care Givers, 901 Main Street, 1 st Floor, Pennsburg, PA 18073.
