Shirley K. Hackman, 91, of Souderton, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Souderton Mennonite Homes, where she had been a resident.

She was the wife of the late Curtis Freed and the late Stanley Hackman, and the daughter of the late Wayne and Alma (Kratz) Bergey.

Shirley began her working career as a cashier at Landis Supermarket. She later worked at Gra-Brams Meats and in the kitchen at Harleysville Insurance.

She enjoyed attending flea markets with her husband, Stanley, and volunteered at the Care and Share Thrift Shoppe.

Shirley is survived by her brother, Kenneth Bergey (Betty), along with her stepchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, at the Summit View Auditorium at Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Summit St., Souderton, PA 18964, where the family will receive friends from 9:15- 10:00 a.m.  Interment will be at Franconia Mennonite Church Cemetery.
