Sarah Caccese, 96, of Harleysville, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023.  She was the devoted wife of the late Anthony "Tony" Caccese, Jr., with whom she shared 69 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Anna Clause.  Sarah was a graduate of Souderton High School class of 1945.

Sarah married Anthony in 1951 and moved to Souderton where they raised their family and lived for 40 years. While raising their children, Sarah worked part-time at Bell Telephone.  When the children were older, Sarah worked at Josten's and Hagey Coach & Tours.  After retirement they lived in Lansdale for a short time before relocating to Ocean City, Maryland.  There she was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and wrote the Monthly Newsletter for Mystic Harbor Community.  She was a volunteer at St. Luke's Church in Maryland.

Sarah and Anthony left Maryland in 2008 and resided at Peter Becker Community in Harleysville until her passing.

Her passion was her family and she cherished the times they spent together.  She loved to cook and bake for her family.  She was a devoted Mother & Grandmother.  She attended St. Marie Goretti Church where she was part of the initial congregation.

She is survived by her children Philip (Debra), Diane Ball (Ron), Michael (Chris), Bernadette Hauck (Julian), Audrey DiCostanzo (Pasquale) and Anthony.  She is also survived by her beloved 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and brother Frank Clause(Joan) and brother-in-law Francis Caccese.

A Catholic Mass will be held for both Sarah and Anthony at 10:15 AM on Monday, October 9, at the Peter Becker Community Chapel, 800 Maple Ave., Harleysville, 19438, where the family will greet guests from 9:00 – 10:00 AM.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Anthony and Sarah's name to the Peter Becker Benevolent Fund. Checks should be made to the Peter Becker Community.  Please make a notation on your check for contribution to go to the Benevolent Fund.
