Sandra Fay Alderfer, age 80, of Harleysville, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024.

Born July 25, 1943, in Sellersville, she was a daughter of the late Harrison and Florence (Ziegler) Gehman. She grew up in Lansdale and graduated from North Penn High School in 1961.

Sandy lived a life full of love and caring for others. She fostered many children and always had room for one more at the table. She never wanted friends to feel alone-especially on the holidays. She was a wonderful cook and baker, and a highlight of her year was hosting a Christmas luncheon every December. She enjoyed vacationing each summer in Ocean City, NJ. She cherished times with friends and family and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Sandy is survived by her children Dana Alderfer of Harleysville, Tiffany Boyer and her husband James of Lancaster, Jordan Alderfer of Quakertown, Nicholas Alderfer and his wife Amanda of Quakertown, Amber Hughes and her partner Adam Donovan of Oreland; grandchildren Drew, Seth and Tate Boyer and Arielle and Avery Donovan; sisters Carol Clemens and her husband Ed of Harleysville and Donna Schmidt and her husband Glenn of Lansdale, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Sandy will be held on at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA 18969, where the family will greet guests from 10:00 – 10:45 AM.
