Samuel Duane Culp Sr., age 78, of Telford, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Lois Ann (Jacobe) Culp, with whom he shared over 34 years of marriage.
Born September 11, 1943, he was a son of the late Cecil Lee Culp and Margaret Elizabeth (Simmons) Pasley.
Sam was a United States Army Veteran and spent time during his enlistment in Korea. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed target shooting at local gun clubs. Sam was well versed in a lot of areas. He was an excellent horseback rider and worked on a farm when he was a young teen where he learned farming and operating farm equipment. He also liked fixing up cars and dabbled in making things with wood.
He was an electrician for over 10 years. Later, he became a machine operator at Vulcan Springs.
Sam knew what he liked, and you might have a hard time changing his mind, but he was open to trying new things. He loved his family very much and cherished the time they spent together.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Samuel Culp, Jr., Stephanie Kelly and her husband Patrick, and Christine Jaudas and her husband Thomas; stepchildren, Daniel V. Babcock and his wife, Christine, and Tina Wintje and her fiancé, Jason; seven grandchildren, Britney, Colin, Austin, Ryan, Shelby, Amanda, and Rachel; five great grandchildren; a sister, Toni Whitton and her husband, Ron; and a brother, Roy Culp and his wife, Theresa.
We will always have our memories of Sam and he will be missed. I know he believed in God and is in a better place and no longer has to cope with his COPD illness. RIP Sam. Because of Jesus, we can dwell in the joy that we will see you again.
Services for Sam will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions in Sam's name may be made to Bucks County SPCA, 60 Reservoir Road, Quakertown, PA 18951.
