Ronald C. Simpson, 81, passed away Monday morning, January 17, 2022, at Abington Hospital. A resident of Salford Township, PA for the last 15 years, he had formerly resided in Skillman, NJ. He was the life partner of Ella (McGarvey) Roush for the last 25 years.
Born September 5, 1940, in Princeton, NJ, he was a son of the late Samuel and Maria (Held) Simpson, and was a graduate of Princeton High School. He was also a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Ron was employed as a plant manager in the meat packing and rendering business for many years. He retired from Mopac in 1997 after over 20 years with the company. He was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W., and enjoyed camping at Tohickon Family Campground. He also enjoyed working around the house outside and playing with heavy equipment.
In addition to Ella, he is survived by a daughter, Michelle Simpson Hutto and her husband, Joseph, of Hickory Ridge, AK; a son, James Simpson of Royersford; a stepdaughter, Betsy Roush; and two grandchildren, Lillian and Lydia Simpson. His grand-dog Pepper misses him, too.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Simpson, in 1996.
Services will be private at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home of Franconia Twp., PA. In lieu of flowers, online contributions may be made in his memory to Generations of Indian Valley at www.generationsofiv.org . Online condolences may be made to the family at www.WilliamsBergeyKoffel.com .
