Ronald Louis Destefani, age 77, of Harleysville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at his residence after a long illness, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Betty P. Renninger.

Born August 5, 1946, in Dover, Ohio, he was a son of the late Charles l. and Mary Ann Destefani.

After attending New Philadelphia High School, he excelled in the construction world, operating various pieces of heavy equipment, preparing blasting sites, and then his favorite part, blasting the rock in preparation for building. Dad will always be remembered for his big heart and warm, hearty laugh. His favorite saying was "if it don't hurt, it don't work".

He is survived by his wife, Betty Renninger; sons, John Destefani and Jerry Destefani; sisters, Shirley Hyust and Mary Jean Botos; daughter-in-law, Leilani Destefani; four grandchildren, one great grandson, and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois (Clemens) Destefani; son, Ronald L. Destefani II; his parents; his brothers, Paul J., Charles J. and Jerry l Destefani; and a sister, Linda Mc Millan.
