Obituary

Robert Earl Peterman, 85, a resident of Perkasie, PA since 1992, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, at Rockhill Community surrounded by his loving family. He and his wife, Janice (Eisenhauer) Peterman, celebrated their 65 th wedding anniversary this past June.

Born in March of 1937, in Norristown, PA, he grew up in Spring House, PA, and was the son of the late Earl and Alvina (Ott) Peterman.

Bob was a graduate of Ambler High School Class of 1955. He started work at Link Belt, Colmar, PA after graduation. In 1965, he started at Moore Products in Spring House, PA, where he remained for more than 30 years after which time he went to Matheson Tri-Gas in Montgomeryville, PA. After Matheson, he worked at Phoenix Wireless. His last employment was with Bergey's Wholesale Parts in Colmar, PA.

Bob was a member of the Lions Club for over 50 years, first in the Franconia Township/Indian Valley Club and most recently was active in the Hilltown Township Lions Club where he also served a term as president. He was also a member of Immanuel Leidy's Church, having been a former Sunday school teacher and usher.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and loved treating the family to a one-week vacation in Ocean City, NJ for the past 22 years. He also enjoyed playing golf and hiking. Bob was also mechanically inclined and worked in local garages part-time. He would help friends and family members work on their car, even traveling hours away to help a friend in need.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Linda Jayne Singletary and her husband, Jeffrey, of Jacksonville, FL, and Cheryl Lynne Nyce and her husband, David, of Souderton, PA; and one son, Robert Jay Peterman and his wife, Anita, of Manhattan, KS. Bob is survived by one brother, James Russell Peterman and his wife, Carol, of Stowe, VT; nine grandchildren: LeeAnne Kammeyer, Joshua Singletary, Matthew Singletary, Julie Dunning, Jennifer Donahue, Stephanie White, Hannah Stewart, Natalie Manring and Blaize Peterman; and eighteen great grandchildren with two more on the way. Bob will be forever missed and was loved and respected by his family and friends.

His viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17 th , 2022 at Immanuel Leidy's Church, 273 W. Cherry Lane, Souderton, PA with the funeral service at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m. Graveside service will immediately follow in Leidy's cemetery.
