Robert L. Patterson, Jr., 69, of Telford, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024.  He was the husband of Cathleen M. Patterson, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.

Born in Valdosta, GA, he was the oldest of four sons of the late Robert L. Paterson, Sr. and Barbara A. Patterson.

Robert attended Shippensburg University where he continued to play football as a quarterback. He was a 1999 graduate of Gwynedd-Mercy University where he earned his bachelor's degree in computer science.

Robert worked most of his career at Merck & Co. as a technical service operator.  He had also worked at Penn Color, Inc., Flexible Circuits, Inc., Kulicke and Soffa Industries Inc., and Leeds and Northrup.

He was U.S.W. Union member and a past member of the Philadelphia Folksong Society.  He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, the woods and the mountains.  He also enjoyed doing family genealogy and all Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Flyers.  He enjoyed the Blues and all kinds of music.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Corinne M. Patterson (Michael T. Yeow), son Brett N. Patterson, a grandson Jack A. Yeow, two brothers, David Patterson (Beth Anne) and Richard Patterson (Renee), father-in-law Clifford M. Murray, Jr. and cousins, nieces, nephews and their children.

He was preceded in death by beloved family members: a brother, Donald G. Patterson, paternal grandmother, Ruby (Dortch) Patterson Leon, and mother-in-law, Jane K. Murray.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, December 27, at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, where the family will greet friends from 1-2 PM.

The family suggests those attending to feel free to dress as Robert would have, in a casual, comfortable manner.

In lieu of flowers or floral arrangements, the family asks any memorial considerations to be made to The American Red Cross , or to ' plant a tree ' in Bob's memory.
