Obituary

Robert H. LeGault, age 94, of Telford, went home to be with his Lord while at his daughter's residence, on Thursday morning, January 20, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia H. LeGault. They celebrated 64 years of marriage at the time of her death.

Born in Crystal Falls, Michigan, Robert was the son of the late Peter and Marion (McNeil) LeGault. He graduated from Forest Park High School in Crystal Falls, Michigan. Robert entered the U.S. Army in 1946 and was honorably discharged from Fort Lewis in Washington State in 1947. Upon returning as a civilian, Robert attended Michigan Technical in Houghton, Michigan, where he received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. His first employer was Link-Belt in Chicago, Illinois. He continued his employment with Link-Belt when the company moved to Colmar, PA. He retired from Link-Belt in 1985.  He then worked as parts driver for Carquest auto parts for another 30 years.

Bob was a faithful member of Penn Valley Church, Telford. After retirement, Bob taught 55 ALIVE, a seminar that allowed seniors to enjoy a discount on their automobile insurance premiums, if successfully passed. In retirement, he also volunteered as a greeter at Grand View Hospital. Bob received a congratulatory letter from President Harry S. Truman, for his courage, leadership and example.

Robert is survived by his two children: James R. LeGault, and daughter, Barbara J. Thomas, both of Telford; one grandson, Matthew P. Kleman and wife, Lauren, of Emmaus; two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Carson; and one sister, Phyllis Gildersleeve of Houghton, MI. In addition to his wife, Virginia, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Christopher Thomas; and grandson, Kurtis Kleman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing Monday, January 31, from 11:00-12 noon at Penn Valley Grace Brethren Church, 320 N. Third St., Telford, PA 18969. The funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Burial will follow, with military honors at Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek, 171 Church Road, Telford.
