Robert P. Holden, 83, a resident of Woxall, PA, since 1965, passed away early Thursday morning, September 1, 2022. He and his wife, Carole J. (Fullmer) Holden, would have celebrated their 62 nd wedding anniversary on September 24 th of this year.
Born August 11, 1939, in Brooklyn, NY, he grew up in Philadelphia, PA, and was a son of the late Percy and Cordelia (Scott) Holden, who were both officers in The Salvation Army. He was a graduate of Central High School and attended Penn State University and Philadelphia College of Bible. He worked for many years in management for several companies including RCA, Ametek, Leeds & Northrup, and Schiller Pfeiffer.
Bob was a man of strong faith and was an active member of Immanuel Church of the Nazarene in Lansdale, PA. He was a former member of the former Eden Mennonite Church in Schwenksville, PA, where he enjoyed serving as a Sunday school teacher, song leader and assistant pastor. He enjoyed oil painting, playing piano and time at the beach. He loved spending time with his family and loved being a big part of his grandsons' lives as they grew up.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Timothy J. Holden of Woxall, PA, and a daughter, Caryn L. Koffel and her husband, Kyle D. of Franconia, PA. He is also survived by three grandsons, Nathan R., Matthew R. and Christopher M. Koffel. He was preceded in death by a four-month-old son, David Scott Holden; and a brother, C. William Holden.
Family will receive friends for his viewing from 5:30-7:00pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford (Franconia Twp.), PA, and again on Wednesday from 10-10:45am at Immanuel Church of the Nazarene, 1260 Welsh Road, Lansdale, PA 19446. The public funeral service will begin at the church at 11am and burial will follow at Zion Memorial Gardens in Telford, PA.
