Obituary

Robert M. Delp, 91, of Lansdale, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Janet L. Delp, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.

Born in Sellersville, he was the son of the late Willard and Elizabeth (Moore) Delp. Robert was a graduate of Hatfield High School, Class of 1951, and attended the Philadelphia College of the Bible.

Robert began his career at Ralph's Market stocking shelves, and through his hard work and leadership, he eventually became department manager of the frozen food and dairy section. As Ralph's Market became Clemens Markets and later Giant Food Stores, Robert's strong work ethic and dedication to customer service remained constant through the many transitions. He truly enjoyed the people he worked with, as well as those he served.

He was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully on various ministry teams, including visitation, the deacon board, ushering, and children's ministries. He was also an active member of his Sunday School class and small group. Robert loved studying God's Word and graduated from Calvary Bible Institute. His desire for others to know Christ was evident in all he did, as he shared the good news of the Gospel with many.

Robert began each day by reading Scripture. He enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, woodworking, pitching quoits, and eating the delicious food prepared by his wife—and later, his daughters. He looked forward each year to the family's annual vacation in Ocean City, NJ, where he spent his days riding the waves with his girls and evenings walking the boardwalk in search of the best pizza. He and Janet also enjoyed taking many bus trips together. As life slowed down, he cherished visits with family and longtime friends, reminiscing and sharing about God's faithfulness throughout his life. He was a devoted prayer warrior for his family, faithfully lifting each member up before the Lord.

He is survived by his children, Connie (John) Landis, Tricia (Micah) Bosico, and Kim (Grif) Jack; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three brothers, William, Timothy, and Willard Delp.

He was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Delp and sister Gladys Crouthamel.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 27, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1380 S. Valley Forge Rd., Lansdale, PA, where the family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Roxborough Church Plant, c/o Valley Forge Baptist (please make checks payable to Valley Forge Baptist and write "Joe Delp" in the memo), 616 S. Trappe Rd., Collegeville, PA 19426.
