Rita R. Zdun, age 85, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Zdun, with whom she shared over 62 years of marriage.

Born February 8, 1938, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Carlson) Steelman. Rita was employed by Transportation Services, Inc. transporting children in the Souderton Area School District for over 20 years. She truly enjoyed driving the bus and getting to know all "her kids" over the years. Rita also enjoyed her time at the beach with family and friends, traveling to Europe, Alaska and Hawaii with her husband and spoiling her grandchildren.

Rita is survived by her children, Deborah Long and her husband David, Joseph Zdun, and Rita Givens; grandchildren, Megan Long, Corey Long and his wife Caroline Canale, and Jessica Long. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Zdun; and brother, Joseph Steelman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday September 11, 2023, at Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 1325 Upper State Road, North Wales, PA 19454, where the family will greet guests from 10:00 – 10:45 AM. Interment will take place in St. John Neumann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rita's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
