Richard Reilly, 80, of Green Lane, died on Monday, December 5, 2022.

Born May 20, 1942, he was a son of the late J. Richard and Helen Reilly. Rich was a graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School, Norristown, class of 1960.

Rich served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He spent over 35 years working for Brooks Instrument in Hatfield where he played in their golf league. He was extremely humble and would tell his family that he wasn't a very good golfer but would arrive home with the tournament trophy. After retiring, he secured his favorite job at the Lederach Golf Course. He enjoyed working outside and the camaraderie of the team that he worked with. They often met up in the off seasons for breakfast to stay in touch.

He was an avid sports fan, having season tickets to the Philadelphia Eagles for over 60 years with his best friend from kindergarten. And while he had a passion for sports, he most enjoyed time with his family. Wherever the dinner was hosted, the family pets would make their way to him as he loved animals and they could sense his kind heart.

Rich is survived by two daughters, Sharon Reilly and Erica Hosgood (Scott) and a brother Kirk Reilly (Sondra).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jay and Eric Reilly.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 12, from 6-8 PM at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA, 18969 and again on Tuesday, December 13, from 10-10:45 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd  Road, Pennsburg, PA, 18073, where a funeral mass will follow at 11 AM. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery County SPCA.
