Richard Arden Pool, age 77, of Harleysville, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at his residence.
Born January 24, 1948, in Lansdale, he was a son of the late Lester Frederick and Regina (Pool) Hamilton.
Richard was a United States Marine veteran, serving during Vietnam. He was an assistant manager for Lansdale Little League. He played softball for St. Paul's Church in Red Hill, where he played second base. He drag-raced at Vargo, Hatfield, ACTO, Cecil County and York. He owned antique and classic cars and enjoyed going to car shows. Richard had a collection of "O" gauge trains from the 1930's to the present day and he loved going to train shows with his best friend Bud. He took great pleasure in gardening, hunting, and fishing. Animals held a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his daughter Jacqueline Becker and her husband David; daughter-in- law Shannon Pool; grandchildren Dylan Pool and his wife Mikaelah, Nathan Pool, Daniel and Nicholas Becker, and Brianna Raquet; and cousin David Charles Barnak II and his fiancé Maria Florencia. He was preceded in death by his son Charles Pool, his mother and all of his siblings.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
