Richard Maialetti, 78, passed away on Monday, October 5th 2026. He was born March 23, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Dominic and Angelina (Cinelli) Maialetti.

Rich was a hardworking and dedicated professional who took great pride in his 42-year career with Strobic Air Corporation. Over more than four decades with the company, he built lasting relationships with colleagues and customers and earned the respect of those he worked alongside. His dedication, loyalty, and strong work ethic carried him throughout his career, culminating in his role as National Sales Manager before his retirement in 2011.

Rich was an avid Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers fan who loved cheering on his favorite teams. Over the years, some of his happiest moments were spent at his shore house in Ocean City, where he enjoyed riding his bike, strolling the boardwalk, playing pinball, and spending time with family and friends.

Rich cherished the time he spent with his wife and daughters and enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, including rebuilding computers, working with ham radios, playing the organ, and watching his favorite science fiction movies and television shows. He also had a lifelong love of cars and bikes that began when he was a teenager and took great pride in them, enjoying the many memories and experiences they brought him throughout his life.

Above all, Rich treasured his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved watching them grow up and took great joy in cheering them on at football, basketball, lacrosse, track, and school events. He rarely missed an opportunity to be there, and being part of their lives brought him tremendous pride and happiness.

Rich is survived by his beloved wife, Sheila (Kelly), with whom he shared 58 wonderful years of marriage and a love story that began when they were teenagers in Philadelphia. He was the devoted father of the late Nancy Owen (Chris), Amy Lewis (Chris), and Donna Marolla (Chris); cherished grandfather of Christopher, Michael, Christopher, Ryan, and Aaron; loving step-grandfather of Kelly, Lauren, and Meghan Marolla; and great-step-grandfather of Cole and Carter Leaks.

He is also survived by his brother, John (Geraldine), as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to his parents and daughter Nancy, Rich was preceded in death by his sisters, Marie (Ed) and Dolores, and his brothers, Philip (Marianne), Dominic (Louise), and Anthony.

Rich lived a full life defined by hard work, loyalty, generosity, and, above all, an unwavering love for his family. He found happiness in life’s simple moments and leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and countless cherished memories. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
