Raymond H. Kohler, a resident of Souderton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Susan Kohler and a man whose quiet strength and steady hands shaped both his family and his work.
Born in Williamsport, Raymond was the son of the late Raymond and Claire Kohler. He built a long and respected career as a Principal Engineer, spending most of his years at Moore Products (Siemens). He possessed a brilliant mind and a passion for working with his hands. Known as a true jack of all trades, he approached every challenge with patience, ingenuity, and a craftsman's pride. He truly loved the outdoors, flying his kites, inventing, building and fixing things. He also enjoyed cooking and sharing a meal with his family.
Raymond's greatest joy was his family. He treasured every moment he spent creating lasting memories with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Kohler‑Craig (Frank); his sons, Raymond H. Kohler II and Richard Rider (Kacie); and his beloved grandchildren — Jaxson, Alex, Peyton, Jordyn, and Emerson — who brought light to his later years. He also leaves behind his siblings, Roxie Carpenter, Greg Kohler, Karen McCloskey, Norma Kohler, and LuAnn Uhl. He was preceded in death by his sister, Regina Mueller.
Those who knew Raymond will remember his sharp intellect, his willingness to lend a hand and his deep love for the people around him. Despite his battle with PSP, he maintained an incredibly upbeat spirit that inspired everyone around him. His legacy will live on in the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the family he cherished.
A celebration of Raymond's life will be held on August 8, 2026, 2-5pm at the Upper Salford Firehouse (782 Old Skippack Rd, Salfordville, PA, 18958). The luncheon will be potluck style in honor of the family's traditions. Guests are welcome to bring their favorite dish to share. His family can be contacted by emailing InMemoryofRayKohler@gmail.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in his name to the Coleen Cunningham Foundation or CurePSP .
