Pearl S. Benner, age 103, went to meet her Lord and Savior Monday morning, February 26, 2024 at The Lutheran Community at Telford, PA.  She was the wife of the late Howard Y. Benner, who died in 2008.  The couple was married 65 years at the time of his death.

Born in Harleysville, Pearl was one of ten children born to the late Joseph F. and Katie (Godshall) Schueck.

Pearl grew up during the Depression and completed eight grades of education in a Harleysville one room schoolhouse.  She was a cook at the Hatfield Mennonite Home, Unionville, (now Living Branches Senior Living).   Along with her seamstress abilities she volunteered many hours at Care & Share Shoppes, Souderton.  Her hobbies included quilting, sewing and cooking.  She enjoyed hymn sings and talking on the phone.

Mrs. Benner is survived by five children: Paul L. Benner of Denver, Colorado, Shirley A. Rosenberger, Souderton, PA, Lois M. Richmond (Brent) of Hillsgrove, PA, Howard Ray Benner (Anne) of Pennsburg, PA, Mary A. Fly (Donald) of Milton, Delaware, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a half-sister Ruth Gehman of Sellersville.  In addition to her husband, Pearl was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Jeanne Benner and two grandsons, Scott Benner and Corey Richmond.

The visitation will take place on Saturday, March 2 from 10:00-11:30AM at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike (Rt. 113), Telford, PA 18969.  The funeral service will begin at 11:30AM.  Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery of Telford, formerly Trinity UCC Cemetery.
