Obituary

Nancy Marie (Ceccola) McCleary, of Souderton, PA, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, surrounded by those who loved her.

Nancy was born in Philadelphia, PA, to Samuel Ceccola and Jennie Guarro. At a young age, she moved to her family home in Warrington (Ivyland). She attended Cardinal Dougherty and graduated with the Class of 1959. She lived a life rooted in love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends. Nancy had a warm spirit and a generous heart, and she touched the lives of all who knew her.

She found great joy in her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, ceramics, crocheting, watercolor painting, photography, planting flowers, and cooking.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Simmler) Wagenmann (husband, George, Jr.) and Maria (Simmler) van der Kleut (husband, Randolph); her grandchildren, George Wagenmann III (wife, Ashley), Andrew van der Kleut (fiancée, Kaitlyn), Katey Wagenmann, Sean van der Kleut, Patrick van der Kleut, and Christian van der Kleut; her great-grandson, George Wagenmann IV; and her grand-dog, Ekko. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Michael McCleary, and her parents, Samuel Ceccola and Jennie (Guarro) Ceccola, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Nancy worked at Hatboro Bank before having children. She was a devoted mother and homemaker when her daughters were young. She sewed holiday dresses for herself and her daughters, made their birthday parties special, and was known for her summer picnics, holiday celebrations, and baking cookies for special occasions. In late summer, she would spend time putting up tomato sauce and even made sauce this past summer with her daughter.

She later re-entered the workforce as an art teacher at Blair Mill Elementary School. She also worked for several local businesses, including C&C Ford in Horsham, Otto's Brauhaus in Horsham, as co-owner of Exposure Time Graphics, and Kohl's in Doylestown. Everywhere she worked, she made lasting friendships.

Nancy enjoyed spending time at her Florida home, especially during the winter months. She traveled with her late husband and cherished time with friends in Florida, where she enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, and hosting visitors, always taking them to her favorite spots.
