Mary Carolyn Palko, age 74, of Telford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3 rd , 2022, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of John (Jack) Palko Jr., who passed away in 2020. The couple shared over 49 years of marriage. Born January 16 th , 1948, in Sellersville Pa, she was the daughter of the late J. Linford and Carolyn (Moyer) Snyder.
Mary graduated from Pennridge High School class of 1965. She was a member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ in Hatfield. She was a stay-at-home mom while her kids were young and later worked as a receptionist and secretary. Ocean City, New Jersey was Mary's favorite place to vacation. She vacationed there as a child and continued that tradition with her kids. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed reading, sewing, Philadelphia sports and NASCAR racing.
Mary loved her family and friends and was always there for them. She spent all of her free time with her kids and took an interest in everything they did. She was especially fond of her grandkids and showed them the same love.
Mary was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1988. Despite her diagnosis at a young age, she lived her life to the fullest. Mary never complained about having Parkinson's disease and always remained positive. She was extremely brave and continued to live as normal a life as possible, even after Parkinson's affected her mobility and outward appearance. In her later years, Mary refused to quit and never gave up her independence. She lived in her home with help from others through her final days.
She is survived by her two children, Michael John Palko and his wife, Jenifer, of Perkasie, and Carol Ambrusch of Telford; 3 grandchildren: Kyle and Hailey Palko and Tyler Ambrusch; sister Janet Mackey of Sellersville, brother Glenn Snyder and wife Shirley of Hatfield, and brother John Snyder and wife Donna of Hilltown.
