Mary L. Alderfer, 83, of Souderton, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Alderfer.

Born in Perkasie, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mamie (Yothers) Allebach.

Mary graduated from Pennridge High School in 1960. After high school, she worked at Harleysville Insurance until the birth of her first child. Later, she was employed as a secretary at Bergey's Inc.

As a child, Mary attended Rockhill Mennonite Church. Since 1960, she had been a devoted member of Calvary Church, Souderton. A woman of deep faith, she cherished her relationship with Jesus.

Family was Mary's greatest joy. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as her friends. She also cherished caring for her best friend, Ralph Landes, with whom she enjoyed playing cards with friends.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Cindy Alderfer; her sons, Richard Alderfer (Karen) and Michael Alderfer (Kelly); and her grandchildren: Joshua Alderfer (Virginia), Shelby Keller (Mitchell), Ricky Alderfer (Christina), Ryan Alderfer (Lili), Kate Conchado (John), Cody Alderfer (Nicole), Austin Alderfer (Lauren), and Tucker Alderfer (Morgan). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Elaina, Easton, Addison, Logan, Sofia, Mila, Brody, Baylor, Leni, Levi, Liam, Riley, Lyla, and McKenzie; as well as her brothers, Merrill Allebach (Rose), David Allebach (Pat), and Joseph Allebach (Agnes).

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by an infant sister and brother.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 5, at Calvary Church, Souderton, located at 820 Rt. 113, Souderton, 18964. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. For those attending, please use the steeple entrance.
