Obituary

Marlin Joseph Raber, 55,  of Washington, NJ passed away on November 26, 2022 at Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice surrounded by family after a 3 year battle with cancer.

He was born on January 6, 1967 to Alvin and Patricia Raber at Abington Hospital.   He attended Saint Maria Goretti elementary school and graduated from North Penn High School in 1985.  A natural athlete, Marlin had a lifelong passion for fitness and competed in numerous sports.  Marlin's quick wit and sense of humor forged many friendships.

In 2010, Marlin moved with his partner of 20 years, Keiko, from New York City to a quiet abode in rural New Jersey where he practiced the Japanese philosophy of Satoyama - living in harmony with nature - and tended to his beautiful gardens growing fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers.

Marlin is survived by his beloved Keiko Silverman, his father Alvin Raber and his 3 brothers Micheal Raber of Lansdale, Matthew Raber of Hatfield and Merrill Raber of Wilmington, DE and his niece Lindsey Raber and nephew Tyler Raber.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 10th at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, where the family will receive friends from 9-9:45 AM.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center or Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice Center .
