Mark A. Mischinski, 66, of Telford, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family. He was the husband of Carole (Sagnip) Mischinski; they would have celebrated 40 years of marriage in May.
Born in Camden, NJ, he was a son of Eleanor Mischinski and the late Matthew Mischinski. He attended Cherry Hill East High School, graduated from Moravian College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and worked in the pharmaceutical industry for many years. He shared fond memories of growing up as the third of four boys in a wrestling household, makeshift surgery fixes on the dining room table by his father, and credited a boy scout with life saving pressure on a wound as a child. He could tinker with, fix, or build almost anything, mostly to house the variety of animals his family loved. Mark was an avid WWII and history buff, loved building models (ships, planes, motorcycles - nothing was off limits), shot a mean game of billiards, toured the countryside and historic battlefields on a Harley, and delighted his 11 grandchildren with games and treasure hunts. An early adopter of PCs, he excelled in the adventure/puzzle game genre, built his own desktops from his computer business, had a side hobby tracking finances and stocks, taunted his family in the Masters Pool, and backed the Eagles. His epic short order breakfasts set high standards for the next generations and his love and taste in music spanned decades as evident by his "Mark's Music" CD collections. Finding God in His creations and the world around him, he raised his children in the Catholic church, coaxed plants from seeds, was moved by beautiful music, and always secured the best parking spot at church. He loved a good page turner, gripping TV shows, complex movies, and breaking golf clubs. The patio was his sanctuary and the charcoal grillmaster prolonged icing potato wedges for the crispiest french fry, with the exception of Wendy's fries which were to be eaten hot and dunked in a chocolate frosty. Gift giving his love language, he took joy in slipping a dollar into every birthday card anticipating the moment it would drift into a lap. He leaves a legacy of savoring Christmas morning to the fullest and his children will carry those memories and traditions forward with love. He took pride in the house he self-contracted, flying the American flag, sending daily crosswords to his mother and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His wife was his true compass, sounding board and life partner. He adored her with the entirety of his being and he made it his mission to ensure she was loved and appreciated daily. He treasured the life and lives they created together.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mark is survived by his daughters, Christina Darden (Zachary), Kelly Collier (Sean), and Susan Muckian (Michael), and grandchildren, Amara, Isaac, Elias, Mark, Thomas, Jacob, Rosemary, Elaine, Martin, Adrienne and Bridget. He is also survived by his brothers, Richard Mischinski (Nancy), Paul Mischinski (Eileen) and Carl Mischinski, and numerous nieces, nephews, and their spouses and children.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 25, 2022, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, where the family will receive friends from 10-10:45. Interment will be private in St. John Neumann Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Mark would urge you to vote Republican. Memorial contributions may be made to Gift of Life Family House, 401 Callowhill St, Philadelphia, PA 19123.
