Marjorie Ann Bates, age 84, of Sellersville, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Community at Rockhill. She was the beloved wife of Henry M. Bates, with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage.

Born July 30, 1940, in Sellersville, she was a daughter of the late Morris Valmore and Elsie (Wolf) Hetrick. She was a graduate of Pennridge Schools and attended Temple University. Marjorie was employed by Univest for 32 years. She was a longtime member of Zwingli UCC in Souderton. Margie enjoyed traveling, dancing, cooking and crafts. She loved tending to her roses and her flower beds as well as gardening, entertaining and visiting friends. Her joy was her family, and she cherished the times they spent together, particularly in Ocean City.

In addition to her husband Henry, Margie is survived by her daughters Andrea Hernandez and her husband Christian of Souderton, Alicia Gordan of New Castle, DE; grandchildren Emily and Kayla Hernandez and Richard Gordon; siblings Janet L. Schultz of Collegeville and Dennis Hetrick of Wescosville, PA.

She was preceded in death by son-in-law Michael Gordon.
