Obituary

Marilyn C. Nagg, age 86, formerly of Doylestown, PA, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior at Souderton Mennonite Homes, Souderton, PA, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late James (Jim) M. Nagg, with whom she shared over 65 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia on December 11, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Charles M. and Ellen (Ayars) Cramer.  As the daughter of a Methodist minister, Marilyn grew up in multiple towns in South Jersey and the Philadelphia area.  The Cramer family eventually settled in Roslyn, PA where Marilyn attended Abington High School and where she met Jim.  In 1963, Jim and Marilyn bought their first house in Warminster, PA.  In 1976, they moved to Doylestown Township, PA where they remained until Jim's passing in 2020.  After a 2-year residency at The Willows in Hatfield, Marilyn moved to the Souderton Mennonite Homes in 2023.

Marilyn and Jim enjoyed traveling around the United States, "camping" and visiting our National Parks in their RVs.  They enjoyed trips with their camping club, which included Jim's cousins and other good friends.  When not traveling, they loved spending holidays and other special occasions with their many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  They often took the kids with them on camping trips.  Marilyn loved the beach and could often be found either floating in the waves or collecting seashells.

Marilyn was an active member of several local churches, including Faith Community Church of Roslyn, PA, Davisville Church of Southampton, PA, First Baptist Church of Doylestown, PA and Grace Gospel Chapel of Plumsteadville, PA.  Marilyn also participated in several local Bible study groups.

Marilyn was a career administrative assistant.  Over the years, she worked for Yale/Eaton Lift Trucks of Willow Grove, PA, Bethanna Children's Services of Southampton, PA, and Vacuum Furnace Systems of Souderton, PA.  She ended her career at Solar Atmospheres, Inc. of Souderton, PA, from which she retired.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Lynn D. Hubler (Al), James M. Nagg, Jr. (Cathy), and Dennis E. Nagg (Nan); grandchildren, Jon Hubler (Dawn), David Hubler (Caitlyn), Tim Hubler (Kate), Joel, Andrew (Cassie), Emily and Sara Nagy, Aaron, Laura and Davis Nagg; nine great-grandchildren; sister Phyllis Kuhns and her husband Robert, and sister-in-law, Ann Aurelia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marilyn was preceded in death by her grandson Robert Nagg, brother Charles Cramer and his wife Dawn, and brothers-in-law, Wilfred Ellis and Norman Aurelia.

A memorial service for Marilyn will be held at 10:30 AM on July 2, 2024, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 310 Covenant Lane, Harleysville, PA 19438, where the family will greet guests from 10:00 - 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
