Obituary

Marilyn Y. "Vonnie" Mangle, 83, of Souderton, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

Born in Locust Run, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ray Mangle and the late Mary Jane Mangle Burns.

Vonnie was a graduate of Juniata Joint High School, where she was voted "Most Athletic." She went on to work as a supervisor in the cutting room at Juniata Garment. She later worked in Florida, training individuals on combustible furnaces, and most recently was employed at French's Mustard in Souderton.

Vonnie enjoyed playing the guitar, working on word puzzles, and spending time outdoors mowing and doing yard work. In earlier years, she also enjoyed riding motorcycles.

She is survived by her nieces, Michelle Waddell and Jacqueline Link; her nephew, Brian Waite; and her longtime Juniata School softball friends, Linda "Murph" Detra, Ruth "Chip" Lauver, Barb Lauver Vanalman and Evy Mayer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Harry Burns; her brothers, Ray "Ronnie" Mangle and James Mangle; her sister, Diann Waddell; her nephew, Michael Waddell; her nieces, Patricia Mangle, Angela Waite, and Josephine Potts; and her softball friend, Mary "Tink" Lauver.

A Celebration of Life service for Vonnie will be planned at a later date.
