Marie J. (Ferrone) Smith, 96, of Souderton, PA passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Smith who passed away in 2011.

Born September 9, 1926, in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Luke and Anna (Santoli) Ferrone.

Marie worked for the Port Authority of NY until she married and the family moved to Bethpage, NY. When her children were grown she returned to the workforce as an executive secretary at Grumman Aerospace. She and Bob retired to Myrtle Beach, SC where she enjoyed playing bridge and golf. For many years she served as a Eucharistic Minister and secretary at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Murrells Inlet, SC. More recently she resided at the Souderton Mennonite Home in PA and enjoyed playing rummy with friends. She was an amazing cook, a loving mother, and a devoted grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Joanne Smith of Middle Island, NY, and Dr. Patricia Stephenson and her husband, Donald, of Telford, PA, her grandchildren, Christopher Stephenson, Rachele Stephenson, and Anna Davis; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings Luke Ferrone, Jr., and Ann Carol Grimm.

Services will be held privately for the family on Friday, March 31 in Souderton. A mass and interment of her ashes will be held on Wednesday, April 5 ^th , 10 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church in SC.
