Lois A. Wismer, age 86, of Telford, died Sunday afternoon, April 7, 2024, at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown, PA, where she was a recent resident. She was the wife of M. Lowell Bishop, Telford.

Born at home in Souderton, Lois was the daughter of the late Leroy S. and Alice (Alderfer) Wismer.

As a young woman, she was self-employed office manager for Silverdale Auto Center in Silverdale. Following this, Lois was an office clerk for Buxmont Cardiology, Sellersville.  Her last employer was North Penn School District, where she was able to demonstrate her heart for children, by being Jesus's hands and feet, as these youngsters traveled to and from school on a school bus. Lois enjoyed history, antique furniture, dogs and arranging dried flowers, as well as Art that she taught at Souderton Area School District's evening schools. Lois and Lowell attended Salford Mennonite Church, Harleysville.

In addition to her husband, Lois is survived by a son: Dean Hernandez and wife, Amy, of Haley, Idaho; brother: Paul A. Wismer and wife, Sue, of Pennsburg; granddaughter: Audrey Hernandez of Haley, ID, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by two sisters: Ruth Cender and Mary Wismer.

The family will greet guests Saturday, June 29, at Salford Mennonite Meetinghouse, 480 Groff's Mill Road, Harleysville, PA 19438. Visitation from 10-11:00 AM.  Memorial Service: 11:00AM.
