Leroy John Mapplebeck, 87, of Harleysville, died on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.   He was the husband of Patricia Mapplebeck, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Leroy B. and Mary Mapplebeck.

Leroy served in the United States Air Force.  He was a quality control engineer in the aerospace industry. He loved camping and traveling. He was a railway enthusiast. He was a member of the American Lodge 284.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Linda, Laura, Pat (Son-in-law) Kevin and Keith, Suzanne (Daughter-in-law), grandchildren, Stephanie, Ryan, Nathaniel, Danielle and Joseph John.  He is also survived by a sister Marilyn.

He was preceded in death by a son John Scott and three brothers, Leroy, Robert, and Joseph.

A private service and burial will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association .
