Ivan Lee Landes, 78, passed away Thursday morning, February 10, 2022, at Lutheran Community At Telford, where he resided since December of 2020. He and his wife, Ann (Stoler) Landes, celebrated their 54 th wedding anniversary on July 7 th of last year. They had formerly resided in Souderton, PA and were former long-time residents of North Wales, PA.
Born February 21, 1943, in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of the late Ivan Landes, MD, and Sara (Ruth) Landes. He was a graduate of North Penn High School and obtained his barber license.
Lee was a welder and fabricator and worked for Allied Tank Truck Equipment Co. of Collegeville, PA, Trailmobile of West Point, PA, and Hatfield Quality Meats from where he retired.
Mr. Landes was an active member of Grace Mennonite Church and a former member of Towamencin Mennonite Church and Indian Valley Mennonite Church. He was a man of strong faith and was always seeking to help someone in need. He enjoyed camping, vacationing in Long Beach Island, NJ, and working on cars. He loved listening to gospel music and enjoyed attending hymn sings. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and cherished time spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Christopher Lee Landes and his wife, Dawn, and their children, Malise, Nathan and Rachel, of Lancaster, PA; and a daughter, Kimberly Ann Bergey and her husband, Jon, and their children, Kate and Landon, of Telford, PA. He is also survived by a sister, Jeanette Goad and her husband, Ken, of Aiken, SC.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11am on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Grace Mennonite Church, 630 York Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446, where family will receive friends for the viewing from 10-10:45am. The family respectfully asks that all in attendance wear a mask. Burial will follow at Towamencin Mennonite Church Cemetery.
