Lane Roy Vincent, loving father and "Pop-Pop," passed away at his home in Harleysville, PA, on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the age of 79.
Lane was born on February 12, 1943, in New Castle, Delaware, to Levi Leroy and Elsie (Doughten) Vincent.
He was a self-taught, expert carpenter and owned his own contracting business for over 35 years. He had an avid interest in classic cars. He loved to travel to Maine for snowmobiling adventures and had fond memories of France and Costa Rica. He loved listening to classical music in his truck, especially Rachmaninoff. He enjoyed watching foreign mysteries and crime shows. His favorite holiday was Christmas because he loved giving gifts to his family. He was known for his independent spirit and loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Sharon (Vincent) Herbert and her husband, Jeff; his former wife, Patricia (Smith) Pearson; his three grandchildren, Jackie, Matthew, and Paula Herbert; his great-grandchildren, Owen and Dylan Buss; and his nephew, Frank Shields.
Lane was preceded in death by his loving partner of over 25 years, Caroline Hogue; his sister, Patricia (Vincent) Shields; and his aunt, Florence (Vincent) Hause.
