Lamar Robert Hepler, 89, a resident of Souderton Mennonite Homes since 2014, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 4, 2023. A former resident of Telford, PA, for almost 60 years, he was the husband of Carol Ann (Slotterback) Hepler. They would have celebrated their 68 ^th wedding anniversary on September 10 ^th of this year.

Born May 4, 1933, in Lavelle, PA, he was the son of the late Robert and Lena (Schlorff) Hepler. He was a 1951 graduate of Ashland High School and a United States Army veteran serving as a radar operator during the Korean War.

Mr. Hepler was employed with SPS Technologies of Jenkintown, PA for 44 years. He was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church in Telford, PA for 63 years, where he served as a trustee. He was also a member of the Boy Scouts of America, Great Swamp Fish & Game Association, and the Indian Valley Campers Association. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, woodworking, bicycling, gardening, camping at the New Jersey shore, and crossword puzzles.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Debbie Beck and her husband, Donald, of Perkasie, PA; a son, Robert Hepler of Hatfield, PA; and three grandchildren, Denine Beck, Lyndsay Hepler, and Ashley Hepler. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Hepler; a grandson, Ryan Beck; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Hepler.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11 am on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Souderton Mennonite Homes Chapel, 207 West Summit Street, Souderton, PA, where family will receive friends from 10-10:45 am. Graveside services and military honors will be private for the family at Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek Cemetery in Telford, PA.
