Obituary

Kenneth I. Cosgrove, age 80, of Pottstown, went home to be forever with his Lord and Savior, Thursday afternoon Oct. 20, at Pottstown Memorial Hospital.  He was the husband of Gail (Handly) Cosgrove for 56 years.

Born in Upland, PA, Delaware County, he was a son of the late Louis N. and Marie H. (Kaiser) Cosgrove. Kenn graduated from Sharon Hill High School, Class of 1959, Philadelphia College of Bible (now Cairn University), in 1962 and Grace Theological Seminary receiving a Masters of Divinity in 1985.

Kenn pastored the following churches throughout his lifetime: Grace Brethren Church, Waterloo, Iowa, Grace Church, Norton, Ohio, North Riverdale Grace Brethren Church, Dayton, Ohio, Thrive Church, York, PA and Grace Church, Limerick, PA.

Pastor Cosgrove was ordained at First Brethren Church, Norton, Ohio Nov. 6, 1969. He was a member of Inspire Charis Pastor's Fellowship, Police Chaplain for York Police while pastoring in York. He taught at York Bible Institute and was active at Camp Conquest Church Camp in Denver, PA. He was a member of the Antique Car and Bus Museum, Hershey, PA. He was a woodcrafter who enjoyed making model buses and was a model railroader.  In later years, he drove for Trans Net Transportation, delivered Meals on Wheels, and was a barista at Proximity Café, Pottstown.  Pastor Cosgrove was a mentor in the North Atlantic District for Charis Fellowship.

In addition to his wife Gail, Kenn is survived by two daughters: Ms. Doni Cosgrove, Pottstown, Kenda (Cosgrove) Wathen, wife of John Wathen of Mechanicsville, MD and their children: Ms. Sophie Wathen, Mr. Samuel Wathen and Miss Susannah Wathen, one son: Jonathan Cosgrove, husband of Rhonda of Shillington, PA and their children Mrs. Marissa (Cosgrove) Zappone wife of Michael Zappone of Sinking Springs, PA, Mr. Aaron Cosgrove and Mr. Justin Cosgrove, both of Shillington, PA., Two sisters: Mrs. Marilyn (Cosgrove) Lock and Mrs. Christine (Cosgrove) Reese wife of Thomas Reese all of Boothwyn, PA, one sister-in-law Betty Cosgrove Hummel wife of Mike Hummel, West Chester, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Warren Cosgrove.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life, Saturday, November 19, 11:00 AM at Penn Valley Church, 320 N. Third St., Telford, PA 18969.
