Kathryn Faye (Algard) Landis, 88, of Lansdale, PA, a former resident of Souderton, PA, for over 46 years, passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon, July 14, 2023. She was the wife of the late Richard B. Landis, who passed away September 27, 2022. They had been married for 67 years at the time of his passing.

Born June 6, 1935, in Sellersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Kathryn (Hunsburger) Algard. She was a 1954 graduate of Souderton High School and enjoyed helping to organize reunions for the class for many years. She was employed with Union National Bank, R. B. Landis Meats, Harleysville Insurance Company, and as a crossing guard in Souderton, PA, retiring in June of 2001.

Mrs. Landis was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Souderton, PA, where she was active with Bible Study, Book Club, and Women's Tea, served on the Altar Guild, and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Indian Valley Junior Women's Club, a card club, and the Red Hat Society. Her hobbies included reading, walking, and solving word search puzzles. She also enjoyed playing cards and Mexican Train.

Surviving are two daughters, Deborah F. Powis and her husband, Jeff, of Telford, PA, and Ellen K. Strogis and her husband, Steve, of Hatfield, PA; and a brother, Edward Algard. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Chris Powis, Jeremy Powis, Michelle Bevan, Derek Strogis, David Strogis, and Adam Strogis; and five great grandchildren, Piper and Mackenzie Powis, Catherine, Margaret and Elizabeth Strogis, and Eleanora Bevan.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Robert Algard.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA, where family will receive friends from 4-5:30pm. Interment will be private.
