Kathryn L. Clemens, 90, of Franconia Township, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024. She was the wife of Paul Clemens, with whom she shared 71 years of marriage.
Born in Franconia Township, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Anna Mary (Moyer) Landis.
Kathryn, who was known as "Grammy" to her family, offered a warm and gentle presence to everyone she encountered. Kathryn loved and delighted in children and babies alike, always having a special treat tucked away in her pantry or purse to offer those who stopped by to visit. Even in her final months, Kathryn always insisted her visitors never left empty handed.
Kathryn embodied a biblical sense of hospitality, always opening her home and her life up to share with others. She found a million small ways to connect with others, always offering something helpful and kind to those she met.
Above all, Kathryn valued and cherished her family. She celebrated their successes and always offered a loving place to come back to. Her family has been deeply shaped by her selflessness, faithfulness and gentleness, and her legacy will continue to be honored in the lives of those she loved.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Mary Moyer and her husband Lee, Janet Curtis and her husband Scott, Ruth Ann Landis and her husband Gerald, Randy Clemens and his wife Rose and Brent Clemens. She is also survived by her siblings, Jane Derstine, Betty Miller, Rhoda Detwiler, Robert Landis and Ervin Landis, nine grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
