Karen (Rose) Cook, 81, of Souderton, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Cook.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Dale and Marjorie Rose. Karen was a graduate of J.W. Hallahan Catholic High School in Philadelphia and worked for many years at the Roxborough Home for Women.
Karen devoted much of her life to serving others. She was a dedicated Girl Scout Leader for 30 years and a member of the Indian Valley Junior Women's Club later in life. She enjoyed driving to Shady Maple and sitting on the beach in Ocean City, NJ. Her hobbies included cross-stitching, baking, reading and doing cross-word puzzles. Karen never met a stranger, she was loved by many people for her generous spirit, kindness, sassiness and support for those around her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Monica Hunter (Gerald) and Michele Cook; her four grandchildren, Gerald, Mackenzie, Braedan, and Andrew; her brothers-in-law, Bill Egner and Joe Kaz; her cousin Ann Knowlmeyer; her nieces, Joy Leva (Mark), Cheryl Drabick; her nephew, Bill Egner (Jessica); as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Joyce Egner and Elaine Kaz.
A Celebration of life Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 17, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, PA 19440, where the family will greet guests from 10:30 - 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Diabetes Association .
