Julian S. Hagin, Sr. 95, of Souderton, formerly of Harleysville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday Dec 8, 2024. He was the husband of Dorothy L. (Bean) Hagin for 36 years and the late Louise C. Hagin.
Born in Waycross, Ga, he was the son of the late William and Emmaline Hagin.
Julian was a graduate of Hoboken High School, Hoboken, Ga, class of 1946, and a 1952 graduate of Lansdale School of Business. He served in the United States Air Force from 1947-1950. After being discharged from the Air Force, Julian worked for the Clemens Poultry Auction.
Julian had a 40-year career with Harleysville Insurance Companies (now Nationwide) which included establishing the Charlotte NC claim office and becoming manager of the Philadelphia/Fort Washington Claim Office and manager of the Harleysville Branch Claims Office. He retired in 1994 as Assistant Vice President of Claims.
Julian was charter member of Indian Valley Mennonite Church (now Indian Valley Faith Fellowship). He was a life member of Harleysville Lions Club where he served as president in 1969 and helped form the Harleysville Community Center. He served on the board for SAAC (now Encore Experiences) and volunteered with the Connie Mack Youth Program, Harleysville Ambulance and Fire Company, Mennonite Historians of Eastern Pennsylvania, and Care & Share Thrift Store. Julian wrote his memoirs, family poems and was the keeper of family information sending letters and emails. Family reunions and family get-togethers were special times for Julian.
Southern Gospel Music had a special place in his heart and attended many Gospel Concerts. He was the official videographer, as he shouldered his video camera recording over 200 VHS tapes of family and events. Julian and Dottie spent much of their retired years traveling the United States and Canada in their RV and in the later years wintering in Arizona.
In addition to his wife Dottie, he is survived by a daughter, Wanda Derstine (Terry), three sons Julian Hagin, Jr. (Corinne), Dana Hagin, and Dean Hagin (Wendy), four granddaughters, Cara Hummel (Trent), Amber Williams (Marlon), Regan Lias , (Jeremy), and Juliana Hagin (partner Jaeilyn Redding); three grandsons, Wyatt Hagin, Michael Hagin and David Hagin; eight great-grandchildren, Catherine, Ella, & Ian Hummel, Felicity Lias, Brittney (Lias) Sassaman, Tobie Lias, Kem Williams and Parker Hagin; one great great grandson, Greyson Sassaman; a sister, Emmagene Turner; sisters-in-law, Dory Hagin, Helen Hagin, and Judy Hagin; and brother-in-law, Ray Littlejohn. In addition to his first wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son Garry Wayne; siblings, William A. Hagin Jr., Delores Hagin, Ferrell Hagin, Veleria Littlejohn, Ward Hagin, Delano Hagin, Naven Hagin, Hayden Hagin, and Gerald Hagin; and two half-sisters, Ella Mae Boyd, and Lorine Martin.
A memorial service for Julian will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday December 30, 2024, at Indian Valley Faith Fellowship, 190 Maple Ave., Harleysville Pa 19438, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 1:30 pm.

Interment will be private at Salford Mennonite Church Cemetery.
