Joyce (Boyles) Fretz, 92, of Harleysville, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.  She was the loving wife of William A. Fretz, Sr.

Born in Lansdale, Pa, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Rittenhouse) Boyles.  Joyce was a graduate of Lansdale High School, class of 1949.

Prior to her career as a homemaker, Joyce graduated from the Barbizon School of Modeling in 1950 and worked briefly in New York City.

Joyce married the love of her life, Bill Fretz on June 14, 1952, and just recently celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary.

She is survived by her four children: son William A. Fretz, Jr. and wife, Elizabeth, of Bethlehem, PA, son James T. Fretz and wife, Karen of Baltimore, MD, son John Phillip Fretz of Kane, PA, and daughter Jane F. Moyer and husband, Douglas K. Moyer, Harleysville, PA.  In addition to her children, she is survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Joyce enjoyed arts and crafts, quilting, gardening, playing cards and in her younger years, participated in a bowling league.  Her favorite activities were spending time with family and supporting her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events and school activities, and celebrating their various achievements.

Joyce was a member of Grace Mennonite Church for over 70 years where she grew in her faith and enjoyed the fellowship, particularly her Sunday School Class activities.

A graveside service will be held at 12 PM on Wednesday, August 9, at Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 E. Arcadia Drive, Limerick, PA 19468.

A memorial service is planned for 10:00 AM, Saturday August 26, 2023, at Grace Mennonite Church, 630 York Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446.
