Obituary

Joseph D. Pugles, 87, of Hatfield, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Jennifer (Jenkins) Pugles to whom he was married for over 17 years.

Born October 31, 1934, in Lansdale he was a son of the late Thomas and Anna (Daniels) Pugles. Mr. Pugles was a graduate of Lansdale High School Class of 1952.

Joe was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a 50-year member and past Worshipful Master of Shiloh-MacCalla Lodge No. 558 F&A.M., past High Priest of Lansdale Royal Arch Chapter 301, a 32-degree mason with the Valley of Allentown Scottish Rite, and was a member of LuLu Shriners. Joe's dedication to the Masonic bodies was inspired by a personal connection to the mission of the Shriners.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Keith Pugliese and his wife, Louise, of Pipersville, Kimberly A. Pugliese of Ithaca, NY, and Lisa Nase and her husband, David, of Harleysville; his grandchildren, Michelle, Rachel, Erik, Karina, Brianna, and Ryan; two great grandchildren, Charlotte Faye, and Lena Rose; and his stepchildren, Krista Mulligan, and Michael Bezanis.

Joe was predeceased by his siblings, Thomas Pugles, Jr., and Loraine London.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 10 AM on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 Main St. Lansdale, PA 19446. Friends may greet the family on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 6-8 PM at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc. 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA 18969, where a masonic service will be held at 8 PM. There will also be a time of greeting on Friday from 9:30 – 10 AM at the church. The family asks that guests wear masks .
