Guided by his unwavering faith, Joseph G. Lamack Jr. "Joe", age 84, of Harleysville, PA, died peacefully on July 3, 2022, knowing that his work here on Earth, devoted to family and friends, was complete.
Joe was the husband of Virginia "Ginny" (Kenworhty) Lamack. They were married for 58 years. Together they created a wonderful life together, raising three children, embracing 2 sons/daughters-in-law, and enjoying the successes and adventures of 6 grandchildren. Joe was a true family man.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Joe was the oldest son of the late Joseph, Sr., and Esther (Trub) Lamack. He was a graduate of North Catholic High School in Philadelphia and received an associate degree from LaSalle College.
Joe served in the United States Army National Guard, where he received training at Fort Dix and Fort AP Hill. He worked at Honeywell, Inc. for over 40 years, nearly all in production Control, at both Ft. Washington, PA and Phoenix, AZ.
Joe and Ginny settled in Harleysville, where they raised their children. Upon his retirement, Joe took up his 2 main hobbies, watching horse race racing and eating, He, Ginny, and Joe's brother (Ed) and sister-in-law (Pat) would meet at Philadelphia Park and "watch the ponies" weekly.
An avid sports fan, he enjoyed all Philly sports teams, Villanova Basketball, and any team on which his children or grandchildren played. Joe ad Ginny always showed up to any activity and celebration for their children for their children and grandchildren.
Joe is survived by his wife Ginny of Harleysville; children, Joseph III (Corrine) of Macungie, William of Harleysville, and Cynthia (Quay) Brashear of Macungie; and 6 grandchildren: Gregory, Meghan and AJ Lamack, and Emma, Naomi and Caleb Brashear.
Joe is also survived by his brother Edward, his sister-in-law Patricia and their children Denise and David.
Services for Joe will be private.
